Based on results of this extensive study, FCC developed and patented the Accucarb® Carbon/Oxygen Probe Series. The Accucarb® Carbon/Oxygen Probes have been manufactured since 1986 by Furnace Control Corp (FCC) and are currently marketed world-wide.
| They introduced and patented the first American made carbon/oxygen probe to the U.S. heat treating market in 1975. During the interval 1981-1986, Blumenthal and Melville conducted an extensive research and development program on the accuracy and reliability of carbon/oxygen probes. Based on the results of this extensive study, they developed the Accucarb® Carbon/Oxygen Probe Series. These innovative probes incorporate many patented features and are patented in the U.S.A., Europe and Japan. The Accucarb® Carbon/Oxygen Probe Series has been manufactured since 1986 by Furnace Control Corp (FCC) and are currently marketed on a world-wide basis |
