HIGH ACCURACY
PROVEN DESIGN
The combination of an Accucarb® Probe
and a micro-processor controller provides
high accuracy and fast system response.
Typical accuracy is 0.1%.
Field tested design used with exogenerator lamination annealing furnace
for long term reliability.

SIMPLE INSTALLATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
This unique atmosphere control system can
be retrofitted to most existing
exogenerator- motor lamination annealing furnaces.
Eliminates maintenance required
by gas sampling systems.

No calibration required.

CONTROL SYSTEM BENEFITS

Consistently produce high quality laminations by minimizing carbon pickup and preventing
"Rusting and Flaking."

The Atmosphere Control System for annealing motor laminations is the development of Furnace Control Corp. The system is specifically designed to control the atmosphere in an annealing furnace by controlling the air/gas ratio in an exothermic generator. An Accucarb® oxygen probe is located in the high temperature heat zone of the annealing furnace and the probe output is converted by a microprocessor controller to oxygen potential. The output of the controller drives a motorized gas valve that trims the air/gas ratio in the exothermic generator. The components comprising the complete control system are: (a) Accucarb® Probe*; (b) Probe Mounting Flange; (c) Control Panel; (d) Motorized Gas Valve; and (e) Interconnecting Probe Cable and Air Supply Tube.
All of these are described below:

Typical Atmosphere Control System for Annealing Motor Laminations

(a)Accucarb® Probe -- The oxygen probe is the most important component of any atmosphere control system and the Accucarb® Probe Model AQ82O-S-l is the most accurate and reliable probe available for this use.
*U.S. Patent No.4,588,493
(b) Probe Mounting Flange -- Probe Mounting Flange is designed to facilitate easy insertion of probe into furnace.
(c) Control Panel -- Control Panel includes a micro processor controller and a recorder mounted and wired in a Nema 12 enclosure. This system is uniquely designed to monitor and control the oxygen potential in an annealing furnace atmosphere. Included are alarms for process deviation.
(d) Motorized Gas Valve -- The motorized gas valve consists of a Modutrol Motor assembled to a 1/2" North American adjustable port valve.
(e) Probe Cable and Tube Assembly -- Probe cable and tube assembly consists of a probe lead wire, thermocouple extension wire and reference air tubing to inter-connect the Accucarb® Probe and the control panel.
